Currently I am a retired civil engineer (25 years in civil and environmental engineering) and a freelance writer/illustrator. I've earned my BS and MS degrees from Vanderbilt University in Biology, Chemistry, and Education and a BCE in civil engineering from Georgia Tech with additional work in mathematics, physics and geophysics.

I worked for 12 years in university research labs and have produced papers for various scientific and engineering journals. Presently, I write for several e-magazines and am working on a fantasy novel set in the Appalachian Mountains and an illustrated children's book.

My additional interests include history, metaphysics, art, fly-fishing, therapy dogs and astronomy. My best friend (besides my husband of over 40 years) is a huge sheepdog named T-Bear.

Some of my credits include Therapy Dog, a short story in the Unconditional Love of Pets anthology, history articles in the children's magazine, Learning From History and various short story publications. I've also illustrated The Four Bunnies and have won several awards for my art work.
